Our stay at the Axiom was AMAZING! The location was perfect if you're trying to be close to the downtown area. The unique was unique and different your typical hotel. The staff was super friendly and professional. The only thing that was unexpected was the extra taxes we had to pay at checkout, but it is California and I should have expected it. LOL

I stayed here during a solo trip to San Francisco. When I picked a hotel, I knew I wanted to stay in either Fisherman's Wharf or Union Square. I opted for Union Square because the hotels were more affordable in that area. This hotel in particular appealed to me due to its affordability (while still being a 4-star hotel) and visual appeal (I love a cute boutique hotel!). When I got there, I was greeted by the friendly face of Dhali. It wasn't time to check into my room yet so I had time to burn. I told him I was thinking of burning my time by taking a cable car to Fisherman's Wharf and doing some exploring; he gave me very helpful instructions for how to go about it. The turnaround for the cable car line that goes to Fisherman's Wharf is right outside of the hotel, which was super convenient! Once I was able to check into my room, I was pleased with the appearance and cleanliness of everything. My room looked just like the pictures on the internet. I wasn't expecting to have a portable air conditioner instead of central air but that didn't bother me at all. The bed was a little softer than what I'm used to and I was concerned I might have back pain after sleeping on it but that was not the case at all. I slept like a baby! While I was there, I took advantage of the room service quite a few times, which was delivered via a robot. The food in the hotel was reasonably priced and everything tasted pretty good too. I also made use of the hotel gym a couple times during my stay. I knew they had a Peloton bike in the gym before I arrived but was concerned I'd have issues with it like I've had with other hotels' Peloton bikes; fortunately, this was not the case and I found the bike to be in really good condition. I also had no issues logging into my account to use it. I want to also point out that when I got home, I noticed a billing error and contacted the hotel about it. The issue was resolved the very same day, which I'm very appreciative of. I will also point out that Dhali made some other suggestions to me of things to see and do during my time in San Francisco. His cheerful presence contributed greatly to my positive experience there. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and am certain I'll book this hotel again if/when I return to San Francisco in the future.

Great location, excellent service and friendly staff who were very accommodating and patient with the onslaught of conference guests! Nicolas Vargas who took care of the late night front desk specifically was very helpful And Zama at the lobby bar/cafe made excellent drinks/food There were other noteworthy staff I unfortunately didn’t get a chance to chat more in depth with, but thanks to the entire time there for making the stay memorable and fantastic. Will definitely be coming back

I have to say the service here was incredible the welcome at reception, the assistance with baggage and the overall hospitality was splendid. You can’t get a better location I think - near Union Sq and in a more vibrant part of the city than the dock areas where it gets quieter and more out the way. My issue here is the room - two fold really. One the air con, the in room system was not working so a portable HVAC was in place that looked to be more a permanent fixture than a temporary one. It was very loud even on the “sleep” mode. Much louder than a typical in room hotel air con unit which meant for a disturbed sleep on both nights. I didn’t raise this as an issue with reception which on balance maybe another room would have been an option but that’s what happened. Second issue - the shower. For such a luxury hotel and such a large shower (clearly suitable for 2 people…) the shower was very poor. Just a very low pressure system. I would genuinely have expected for such a large shower enclosure to see an overhead rain style shower which would have given a much better experience. I don’t want this to detract from what was otherwise a wonderful stay and genuinely the staff are truly so wonderful - super helpful and pleasant to chat to about local venues, eateries and tourist points. Would I stay here again, 100%. Just hopefully in a room with proper AC

Stayed at the Axiom hotel for 1 night when we landed in SF before Napa and then again for 3 nights. The hotel has a great location and is a great base to get around the city. The rooms are nice though with quite a range in size (tiny to quite large) with the bathrooms being the highlight. Dhali at check in was wonderful and incredibly helpful. Bonus is that you can send your Amazon packages here as well.

Best in terms of locality and proximity to everywhere for first timers in SF. Lucky we got to do an early check in at 10am, that’s 2 days before Christmas. Definitely a bonus after travelling so long from Asia. Room size and amenities pretty decent. Safety wasn’t compromised either.

We had a great time staying here! The location is great. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It is an old building so you get some of the things that come with an older building but it wasn’t a problem at all. Some of the other reviews mention the air conditioning and water pressure so I wanted to address those. The water pressure isn’t the best but it wasn’t a problem for us at all. The room had an ac unit attached to the window and taking up floor space by the bed. It worked well to cool the room but it was very loud. Again, it didn’t end up being a problem but if you think you’d have a hard time with a very loud ac unit then maybe find another hotel. Otherwise everything was wonderful at this hotel and the customer service was fantastic.

Honestly one of the best places you can stay downtown without paying a fortune. Decent sized room, clean, little cafe inside, and pretty much right next to the cable car station and the metro stations for getting around the city. ALSO, Big shoutout to Ms. Yan Liu in housekeeping, she did me a huge favor and tracked down my brand new AirPods when I left them in the room and had to catch a flight out. Mailed them to me a few days later, just exceptional service. Thank you so much!
